The expansion of the Maduro Group into travel-related activities led to the establishment in 1934 of the Maduro Travel organisation and in 1948 to the official appointment of the first IATA travel agency in the Netherlands Antilles. Under the Maduro Travel trade name, a network of agencies has been built up that, while operating independently, fall within the financial and business philosophy frame work of Maduro Holding inc.

The Maduro Travel network has now expanded to its present 14 fullservice branches in six countries, enabling customers to take advantage of its uniform quality services in a number of major destinations. With sister companies of Maduro Travel taking important financial intrest in tour operating companies and hotels, the travel agency is able to complement its vacation and business travel services with the product necessary to compete effectively. Over the years the Maduro tour product has come to enjoy great popularity in the Netherlands Antilles and The Netherlands markets. The sucess of this formula is evidenced by the fact that Maduro Travel currently handles more than a quarter of a million bookings annually.

Full scale automation and efficiency-based improvements have always been a Maduro hallmark. Maduro Travel has been a leader in this field, proving that this was possible without sacrificing the personal touch on which its reputation has traditionally been based.
